13 Male Celebrities Who Have Worn Hair or Had Hair Transplants

You may have seen recent articles on Yahoo or Buzzfeed telling you about a dozen male celebrities who have worn hair or had hair transplants. We add another one to the end of the list to make it a baker’s dozen for you.

Joel McHale is said to have revealed in a podcast that he had three hair transplants after losing his hair when he was a teenager. British comedian Jimmy Carr said about his surgical reformation: “Basically, I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution.” Queer Eye host Bobby Berk listed on his social media in 2019 a hair transplant and a minoxidil formulation and nutritional supplements as a few of the methods he’s used to get his hair back. Rapper Tyga has seemed to indicate on his social media that he had a transplant done and posted a link to a surgeon.

No Longer “Incomplete”

Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean has been very public about having hair transplants and posted pics on his Instagram in 2013:

You may remember Ted Danson was widely known to wear hair when he was on Cheers. Many of us know that Elton John had transplants decades ago and enjoys wearing wigs. You may remember Andre Agassi having a lot of hair when he was 19 years old playing the French Open? But it was a wig. Jon Cryer and Jason Alexander have each talked about their hair on TV. Sean Connery has talked about going bald and wearing hair in movies.

American Horror Story star Cheyenne Jackson shared pics and his feelings about going through five transplant procedures. In 2020 on people.com he is quoted as saying that he started losing his hair around 22 years old. “It was really emotional for me to watch it fall out & I felt less attractive & truly less like myself as the days went on, so I saved up and got my first surgery at 28.”

Along with those celebrities who have worn hair or had hair transplants recently written about, New York-based comedian, Matteo Lane, has also been very public about his hair transplants on his social media and on radio and TV appearances as well as in his comedy:

Celebrities Really Are Just Like Us

Just because these people may or may not be more famous than you are doesn’t make them any different from you when it comes to hair loss or what can be done to solve it. Everyone suffering from hair loss can understand how Cheyenne Jackson felt when he said “It was really emotional for me” and “I felt less attractive”. These are feelings we all go through. Every man and every woman who has thinning hair or balding spots. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich and famous like Elton John or a struggling 22-year-old or anywhere in between. What matters is that there is hope for you! And we can help you at New England Associates®.

What You Can Do

In addition to transplants, there are hair replacement systems designed to stay on your head all the time if you want. These systems are ideal if you may not be a good candidate for surgery or if you may just not be ready for it yet. You will not have to worry about taking off hair at night and putting it on the next day because it’s on all the time. It becomes like an extension of your own hair. You sleep with it and shower with it and everything else.

You can also choose from HairStart® products to help stop further hair loss and regrow hair naturally. Among these, you can find a minoxidil formula similar to what one of the guys above used (but better). You can also use a nutritional supplement that has vitamins your hair needs to keep it strong. And HairStart® Laser Hair Replacement Therapy can be used with transplants to help your healing and help your hair grow more quickly.

Which of these options is the best for you? Do you want a minor surgical procedure to get your own growing hair back like these guys have had? Do you want to replace your hair non-surgically? It would be best if you come in to see us and we can help you figure it out. You should contact us now to set up a free appointment.
